"Jesus said, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom  of heaven belongs to such as these.'" - Matthew 19:14

At Grace Presbyterian, we believe children are one of God's greatest blessings to all of us.  We have awesome programs for kids of all ages that will teach them about Jesus in a fun and safe environment.

Below are current Children's Ministry activities during our Shelter in Place time frame...

Elementary Sunday school has resumed remotely using the Sparkhouse curriculum Faith Together At-Home.  The lessons may be downloaded by clicking the image below. These one-page lessons have wonderful faith formation activities the entire family can participate in.

Lesson activities are split into five different categories:
Explore the Bible, Follow Jesus, Be the ChurchLearn about God, and Share Your Faith.

Each activity page includes a ritual, reading and talking about a Bible story or verse, an activity, a service idea, and a prayer.  These weekly lessons could happen any day during your week that is best for your family. A great accompaniment for the Sunday school curriculum is the Growing in God’s Love: A Story Bible many received as part of this summer's VBS. If you would like one, please email Chelsea and she will get one to you!

Nursery care is provided to children ages 6 weeks-Kindergarten by our trained, professional childcare staff. The nursery is open for Sunday morning worship services and Sunday school as well as church events as needed. At 10:00 am on Sunday morning the children in the nursery enjoy a time of Bible learning and singing with our Director of Children’s Ministry and Music, Chelsea Stern. Click here to read our current Nursery Policy and Procedures Guideline.

Our elementary-aged children have the opportunity to play, learn, and grow together in a wide variety of ways.  GPC kids participate in mission activities, learn about the Bible in fun ways and even explore their creative gifts.  There are many opportunities for them to share those gifts with the congregation!

Sunday Morning:

Sunday School meets August – May in a combined ages class of Kindergarten – 5th Grade. The class uses the wonderful Presbyterian curriculum: Growing in Grace and Gratitude, a multi-age curriculum that explores the Bible through art, music, reading the Word, drama and prayer. We hope you will make Sunday school and important routine in your child’s life!

Sunday Morning Worship: Children of all ages are welcome in our worship services! Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them for theirs in the Kingdom of God.” On Sunday mornings we offer Children’s Worship bags, located just before entering the Sanctuary. A Children’s Moment is also a part of each worship service, where children are invited forward to listen to the Pastor, Director of Children’s Ministries and others provide a special message. There will also be several times throughout the year that our children lead in worship.

LOGOS Wednesday Night Children's Program

The LOGOS ministry, is a mid-week ministry to children currently in 1st through 5th grade. We meet at the church on Wednesday nights with dinner included. The LOGOS program consists of four main spiritual formation rotations: Bible Lesson, Crafts or Games, Music and Worship and Sharing a Meal Together! Each semester a new scripture or theological idea is focused on.

MOPS of Grace (MOPS – Mothers of Preschoolers)

The group meets once a month on a weekday evening. Childcare will be provided by our GPC Childcare Staff.

Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) International is an organization for mothers with children ages 0-5. MOPS believes in the simple but revolutionary idea that remarkable things happen when moms come together, face to face. We rally women to gather in their own neighborhoods and help each other through this thing called motherhood, one gathering at a time. MOPS partners with churches and organizations worldwide to equip and encourage moms in more than 60 countries, with the ultimate goal of bringing moms and, by extension, their families to Christ.

A typical MOPS meeting usually consists of great discussions, guest speakers or videos, fun activities, crafts, or service projects, all in the name of building relationships with one another and helping each other through the joys and struggles of motherhood.

If you are interested or want to join our MOPS group, please contact MOPS Ministry Coordinator and GPC member, Jennifer Essary at [email protected]. For more information on MOPS, go to their website, or hop over and LIKE our Facebook page

Children's Worship Bulletins are available for each worship service. Great opportunity for parents to print at home and go over worship with their children.
