Pastor, Rev. Thom Lamb came to Grace Presbyterian Church after
serving churches in Ohio, New York and Pennsylvania. After 30 years in
the ministry, Thom is deeply grateful that God led him to Temple, TX. Thom also
serves the Presbytery as Moderator of the Committee on Preparation for Ministry
and serves as Director of the GenOn Youth Summit in Estes Park
Colorado. Thom is Married to Lori, a wonderful artist and together
they have two grown Children, Doug who lives in Pennsylvania and Kim who lives
in Temple. When not engaged in ministry, Thom enjoys reading, Golf,
playing guitar and on occasion a little fishing.
Associate Pastor, Rev. Leigh Ann Benish has been serving Grace as Associate Pastor
since October 2013. A graduate of the University of Dubuque Theological
Seminary, Leigh has a passion for working with children and youth, engaging in
mission and service opportunities, and crafting and leading creative and
meaningful worship services. Although she is an Iowa native, she enjoys
living in Texas and is proud to call Temple home. She shares her life and
her ministry with her husband, David (who she met in middle school youth group)
and their son, Gabe.
Choir Director, Chelsea Stern holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Baylor University, a Master of Sacred Music in Choral Conducting from Perkins School of Theology at SMU, and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Meadows School of Fine Arts at SMU. Chelsea and her husband, Chris grew up in Temple. They have a daughter, Chloe and a son, Camden.
Organist, Brian Tanaka has been involved in church music for over 10 years. Brian was born in Bloomington, Illinois and has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Knox College with majors in Economics and Music. Brian plays organ, piano, guitar, and drums (not all at the same time).
Administrative Assistant - Carol Fischer started working in the GPC office in 2010 but has been a faithful member since 1994. A native of Rockford, Illinois, Carol has a degree in Music Education from Northern Illinois University. She enjoys singing with the GPC Praise Team, playing handbells, and (occasionally) playing the church organ. Carol has been married to Kirk since 1978. Their daughter, Corie is married and lives in London, England, and their son, Kyle is married and lives in Round Rock.
Accounting Manager - Dr. Kirk F. Fischer teaches accounting at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and keeps the GPC "books" in order. Kirk is also a native of Rockford, Illinois and a graduate of Northern Illinois University. He received his Masters degree from UMHB in Belton and his Doctorate from Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana. Kirk has been married to Carol since 1978. Their daughter, Corie is married and lives in London, England, and their son, Kyle is married and lives in Round Rock.
Childcare Coordinator, Jane Nance was born in Edinburgh, Scotland and has been taking care of the GPC children since 1994. Jane is married to Frank, and together, they have three children, Dylan, Megan and Logan.
